Morgan McClellan, a painter based in Tulsa, OK, was commissioned to paint the Queen Rose Art House. In collaboration with founder Kalup Linzy, the process included McClellan painting the base colors and creating oil paintings on wood cutouts from photos of Linzy characters to create a mural. In addition, Linzy drew his iconography on the house with McClellan filling it in.

Morgan McClellan is an American artist working in a wide range of mediums including painting, music, and film. His paintings often include figures from past subcultures and art historical paintings and employ stylistic references from Post-Impressionism and Baroque Art. In film, he works as a scenic artist and prop master, his most recent projects include Martin Scorsese’s Killers Of The Flower Moon and John Swab’s Little Dixie.

Kale Roberts

Art Truck

Kale Roberts was commissioned to paint the Queen Rose Art Truck. In collaboration with founder Kalup Linzy, the process included Roberts painting the base colors, Linzy drawing his iconography onto the truck, then Roberts filling it in. Morgan McClellan assisted.

Kale Roberts is an interdisciplinary artist based in Tampa, FL, USA. Robert’s work explores queer potentialities through community, material, body and performance; they often work collaboratively. Roberts has exhibited their work in solo and group exhibitions in numerous institutions, galleries and artist run projects in: Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, and across the United States.

Roberts is the convener of the project Tailgate Projects that is a hybrid truck in drag that exhibits collaborations with other artists as a modular gallery and performance space. Content such as flags, window decals, and sculpture, shown on the truck speak directly back to masculinist truck driving and tailgating culture in the US South. This project directly expresses aspects of Robert’s identity as a Southern queer, along with exploring the relationships between objects and gender, themes of sexuality, and ritualistic practices that seek to dismantle the taboos of the human form.

Roberts holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and Sculpture from the University of Texas at El Paso, USA, a Graduate Certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of South Florida as well as a Master of Fine Arts from the University of South Florida. Their work has been reviewed in Vice, Yale News, Two Coats of Paint, Ravelin, The Digital Bullpen and Metro Pulse amongst other publications.

Antonio Andrews

Laundry room installation

Antonio Andrews aka Dial Tone of No Parking Studios was commissioned to paint the laundry room.

Antonio Andrews, aka Dial Tone, is an American rapper from Tulsa, Oklahoma's North side. His interest in rap music was sparked after seeing his friend's older brother's CD collection, while Nas's video, "If I Ruled the World", sparked him to write his first rap and ignited him as a rapper. In 2016, looking to expand his creativity, he started the label No Parking Studios that serves as a creative outlet of various mediums. After helping executive produce Fire In Little Africa, (a multimedia hip hop project released on Motown Records last year), which included a single with long time collaborator Steph Simon and Hometown hero Charlie Wilson, Tone is now looking to expand his reach in the industry.

Web design

Members of the Tulsa, OK based art, music, and cassette collective, Cult Love, George Christ and Natty Gray are multidisciplinary artists and arts workers. Christ and Gray were commissioned by Kalup Linzy for the web design of the Queen Rose Art House website.
